GEO Analytics Professional

Earns Sophyx Certified GEO Analytics Professional

A 12-lesson course for growth, analytics and data teams: measure AI visibility end to end, from crawler reads to conversions, with methods that hold up: buyer-sourced prompt panels, repeated sampling with confidence intervals, crawler-log analysis, AI referral tracking, attribution, competitor benchmarks, controlled experiments, and dashboards and reports that drive decisions. Builds on The Answer Engineer (AE-200). Worked example: Wrenfield Physio, a fictional physiotherapy chain with clinics in Leeds, York and Sheffield; its rival Halbeck Physio is fictional too.

  • 12 lessons
  • 36 min of video
  • 40-question exam

Best after The Answer Engineer (AE-200), or if you already know how AI search works.

What you will be able to do

4 modules, one skill each

Module 1

What to Measure

The AI visibility chain and where each link leaves its data; a prompt panel that mirrors buyers; a metric dictionary so every number has one definition.

  • Name the four links of the chain
  • Build a stratified prompt panel from real buyer questions
  • Define the core AI visibility metrics

Module 2

Collecting the Data

Sampling AI answers with repeats and intervals; reading and verifying crawler logs; tracking AI referrals in web analytics.

  • Plan repeat runs per prompt and per assistant
  • Read a log line and pick out the crawler
  • Identify AI referrers and tags in analytics

Module 3

Analysis

Joining logs, samples and analytics at the page; attribution beyond last click; benchmarking competitors; experiments with controls and decision rules.

  • Join logs, samples and analytics at the page
  • Compute share of voice and position against rivals
  • Design a page experiment with a control group

Module 4

Reporting and Decisions

One-screen dashboards with alerts; winning prompts ranked by earned visits; a decision-first report for leadership.

  • Lay out the chain as a dashboard spine
  • Rank prompts by earned visits and conversions
  • Write a one-page, decision-first report

Syllabus

Every lesson

Lessons run 2 to 3 minutes. Each has captions, a transcript, key terms, a practice quiz and a short exercise for your own business.

How you earn it

Practice, then prove it

Practice quizzes

Four questions after each lesson. Try as often as you like: every wrong answer explains why it is wrong. One attempt finishes the lesson.

Final exam

40 questions about situations at different businesses, 60 minutes, pass at 75%. Everyone gets their own mix of questions. 24 hours between attempts, up to 3 in 30 days.

Final project: the measurement build

Pick a brand (your own, a client with permission, or the fictional Wrenfield Physio data pack) and deliver the four parts below, one per module: (1) a measurement plan: the chain mapped to data sources, a prompt panel and a metric dictionary; (2) a data collection pack: a sampling log with intervals, a verified crawler-log analysis and an AI referral channel with key events; (3) an analysis: a page ledger with the break per page, a competitor benchmark and one experiment design; (4) a one-screen dashboard, a winners table and a one-page leadership report. Each criterion is scored 0–3 against the descriptors; pass needs every criterion at 2 or more. Two graders score 10% of submissions.
